      Event: Avro Anson Documentary – 15th June, 2014, Sidney Air Museum, Sidney, BC Portrayal: “From Dunkirk to Rangoon” and a timeline of Canadian Military HistoryRCAF, Pat Bay Airfield, 1944 Participants: Don Thomas, Bob Campbell,  Tony Austin, , Connor Thomas, Bryce Smith, Jonathan Wolter, Simon Sobolewski, Sarah Johnston, Branko Diklitch, Trent Ingraham, Jennifer Ingraham, Joel Tyler After Action Report: Simon Sobolewski In the last part of 2013, a discovery was made on Vancouver Island, of downed Avro Anson L7056, which had been missing since 1944. Supporting Fort Macaulay – 24th May, 2014

    Event: Supporting Fort Macaulay, Fort Macaulay, Esquimalt, BC Portrayal: Troops stationed at Fort Macaulay, 1879-1956 Participants: Don Thomas, Tony Austin, Connor Thomas, Bryce Smith, Simon Sobolewski,  Dan Dalby, Sarah Johnston, Branko, Oxana and Martina Diklitch After Action Report: Simon Sobolewski Mr. Jack Bates, a local historian, approached us last year with a proposal to support his approaching the Township of Esquimalt for the purpose of giving more attention to the history of Fort Macaulay. On the 24th may, a small number of local VEMRA members gathered at the old sentry post at the Fort’s North entrance for a pre-event tour, given by Mr. Bates.
